OUR TEAM

DONNY WALLOCH (PRESIDENT)

In the beginning, he spent much of his time between classes creating and building for the hospitality group that he quickly became an investing partner with. After graduating Georgia Southern University with a degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology, Donny maintained the creative mind and manager behind many of the investments of his hospitality partnership while branching off on his own to create Walix Corporation in 2004. Once he received his General Contracting License he quickly escalated Walix Corp to a leader in the Atlanta, GA market by utilizing his own experiences in hospitality architecture, project management, and construction for other clients. Spending much of the next 15 years building for new and repeat clients throughout the southeast, Donny had found success in an often-difficult field to be in during the “great recession”.

In 2017, Donny and long time friend Martin Medrano teamed up to excel Walix Corporation to a commercial and residential powerhouse. With much of the labor being company self-performed to control quality and cost, the company found itself able to venture into many aspects of residential building while broadening it commercial capabilities.

Currently, Donny and Walix Corporation enjoy the success of a thriving commercial construction company in both private and government sectors. And thanks to the business partnership with Mr. Medrano, Development and Residential divisions are also quickly becoming staples in an already long history of quality and commitment

JOSHUA ALBERS (VICE PRESIDENT)

Born in Lakenheath, England as my father was serving in the Air Force at the time, we moved back to the states when I was three and spent the next few years living where I call “home” in Villard Minnesota before moving to Conyers Georgia. After graduating from Heritage High school in Conyers, I enrolled at Georgia College and State University. After switching majors between environmental science, biology, and geography I ended up finalizing my college experience with a history degree from GC&SU. During my college years I spent my summers playing Fastpitch softball with a team based out of Minneapolis Minnesota, culminating with an ASA national championship. While playing, I began working on a roofing crew handling everything from new builds to gutter work and complete tear offs of old roofs and replacements.

After college was done, I began my career with the Ritz-Carlton at Lake Oconee, starting in the banquet department handling multiple roles and progressing through to upper management. When the opportunity presented itself, I took a role with the Ritz-Carlton at Bachelors Gulch in Colorado as the Director of Banquets and Events. During my tenure there we started a family, currently consisting of my wife Caitlin, my two sons William and Henry and our two four legged members Torre and Logan, and the decision was made to move closer to family at the time which resulted in a move back to the Georgia area where I accepted the position of Director of Banquets and Events at Reynolds at Lake Oconee. The logistical challenge of running both of the previous departments, being resort locations with venues at multiple locations was a natural segway into organizing all the vendors and contractors needed to complete the process of a home build. It was during my time at Reynolds where I made the connection with Donny and Martin, and the decision was made to join Walix as they were expanding into the residential world home building first class homes, joining the team as Vice President of the new residential division in January of 2022.

MARTIN MEDRANO (TREASURER)

Martín Medrano was born in Argentina, Buenos Aires. He came to United States on a golf Scholarship to Georgia College & State University in 2000-2005. After college he, entered in to the construction sub-contracting market by starting a painting company. The company provided painting services for residential interiors and exteriors, as well a few commercial projects, around the Southeast U.S. Martín grew this company into a team of over 120 painters as he managed the business and day-to-day operations. Not being satisfied with only painting, Martin created, and owned/operated a sub contacting company. Country Construction, LLC, provided framing, exterior finishes, drywall, interior trim, and roofing services. After several years, Country Construction would merge with Lake Oconee, LCC to become Eenoco Construction Services, LLC (operated by his brother). Eenoco Construction is currently focused on subcontracting, remodeling, and residential work.

In 2017, Martin join Walix as a partner and quickly elevated the business with the labor force he already had in place with his previos company. As an owner, he meets with clients, and manages all field operations on a daily bases. With Walix Martin currently focuses on residential, commercial and government work though out the southeast.
